Newsletter #195
Firstly a big shout out to Gary and Glenis, who hosted me and Dexter over the weekend, and what wonderful hosts they were.
It was like I had a personal driver with Gary chauffeuring us everywhere, and the hospitality in Christchurch was fantastic.
The staff at the stadium were friendly, helpful and couldn’t do enough.
And a big thank you too, to the Canterbury Rugby League, for the wonderful night on Thursday night with the Scottish team. It was a beautiful reception and after the Kiwis fine win, and Tonga beating Samoa, there is no doubt all the talk is about the Kiwis V Tonga in Hamilton this weekend. The curtain raiser to the Tonga v Samoa game saw the Kiwi Ferns take on the Maori Ferns, whom the Kiwi Ferns beat. They're looking good for their world cup campaign.
But there’s a couple of other big games on as well, the first being the big soccer game in Wellington, and I want to wish the All Whites all the best in their play-off game against Peru as they try to reach another World Cup.
And the All Blacks also get my very best as they continue their tour to Northern Hemisphere.
But I can't pretend the big one for me is anything other than the Kiwi, and I can not wait until 5pm on Saturday when they play Tonga.
I just hope some Kiwi fans get to Hamilton to support the boys because I know the Tongan fans will be there in their thousands waving their flags.
You will be able to buy Kiwi flags at the stadium so show your colours too. I’ve never been so excited about a game.
Hamilton here I come. All the teams for this weekend are last pages of the newsletter, so make sure you scroll down and have a read.
Have a great weekend.
