We're sending this out a day early so you can get all the details for this weeks game happening on Wednesday. Well what a fantastic night it was at Mt Smart on Friday where 18,295 fans cheered on the Vodafone Warriors in their historic win, toppling the unbeaten Dragons 20-12. And all without Shaun Johnson and Solomone Kata, who were out with injury. But didn't Mason Lino step up to the plate and hit another home run, and Anthony Gelling put in a very solid game too. And like always, the team was led by our very inspirational captain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, and Issac Luke had one of the best games he has ever played for the club, absolutely on fire in his 50th game for us. It was a massive effort well done to the team and the coaching staff. On Saturday it was back to Mt Smart for the recovery session and to watch the ISP Cup team, which won 37-24, and the Vodafone Junior Warriors who won 38-30, so a fantastic winning weekend for the club. Then on Monday morning the leadership group was back at the club at 6.30am and the rest of the team at 9am for training at 10am ahead of flying out to Melbourne at 3pm. There is a captain's on today but before that the coach has a press conference at AAMI park at 9am and then of course on Wednesday night it’s the ANZAC match vodafone warriors V Melbourne storm Our next home game is against the West Tigers On Saturday, May 5 at 7.30pm and the Tigers will arrive with former Warriors Ben Matulino, Elijah Taylor, Russell Packer and Tuimoala Lolohea, not to mention former coach Ivan Cleary at the helm. Throw in Benji Marshall and there will be plenty of Kiwi interest in this game so I suggest you get your tickets early. I'm predicting a big crowd for the Tigers. Let’s all share the love out there and I’ll see you all at Mt Smart on May 5 where I want to see a PACKED OUT stadium! Sir Peter Charles Leitch KNZM QSM
