Newsletter #215
I want to throw my two-cents-worth in regarding the Melbourne Storm game last week.
I’ve been watching rugby league for more than 50 years and done everything from managing the Kiwis to picking up the rubbish at Mangere East Hawks.
In all that time I have never seen a team as clinical as the Storm were that day.
No one would have beaten them in that fist first half, and my beloved Warriors did make a comeback in the second half before the Storm stepped up another notch .
Certainly I believe no team would have beaten them that day because it was the best performance I’ve ever seen a team play in all my years.
This weekend we take on the West Tigers who are coming off two very close losses.
Coached by former Warriors supremo and player Ivan Cleary, the Tigers will come looking to go home with the two points, make no bones about it.
The good thing for us fans is that our team has had a good week to get right for Saturday’s 7.30pm game and coach Stephen Kearney has four players coming back, and despite Issac Luke’s injury, he has been named to play, although there is some doubt about that.
Below are the two teams for this Saturday night.
