If another person mentions the National anthem from the Kiwis test I will go bloody mad yes I know it was bloody terrible and I know it shouldn’t happen but it happened and it is taking the focus of some great rugby league over the weekend. Friday night we had first ever woman’s state of origin it was a very good game the woman make the big hits and play great rugby league. Saturday, PNG played Fiji followed by, Tonga V Samoa and what a fantastic atmosphere and game that was. Then on Sunday morning we had the Kiwis V England test in Denver breaking new ground the first test match ever played in the USA and the Kiwis got off to a great start. But, unfortunately the altitude and heat wore them down. It’s also important to remember the Wayne Bennet England team had been together through the 2017 RLWC campaign and had spent a lot of time together and we had a new coach and 7 players pull on the kiwis jersey for the first time ever so in my humble opinion the Kiwi’s done okay all things considered. We show cased rugby league to the American market. On a personal note I think New Zealand Rugby League are off on a new era we have a new coach and CEO. I can see a big improvement coming for us kiwi fans. Then on Saturday night we had state of origin in Sydney with the Blues winning the series. This Friday night the Vodafone Warriors are at home against the sharks and to be honest I can’t wait bring it on go the Vodafone Warriors! Finally, remember if you woke up this morning it’s a beautiful day. Let’s all share the love out there! Sir Peter Charles Leitch KNZM QSM
