Apologies for the second email but I wanted to share Wednesday night with you. On Wednesday I had a fantastic day. I was staying at the same hotel as all the ex players that were getting inducted into the NRL Hall of Fame as I know them all. It was a great chance to catch up and have a chat. The night itself was fantastic. To be amongst Rugby League royalty like that is a real privilege. On Thursday I travelled down to Wollongong with my six mates from Waitara. The purpose of our visit was to repay the hospitality of our mate that Tony Clackin our host contributed to Tory Brunning, a young talented League player from Waitara. Tory represented Australia Secondary School Rugby League as a 15 year old. Tory died aged twenty two while playing league for Dapto Canaries, a team in Wollongong. Tony was a member of the club and fostered Tory, so that he could play league in Australia. Tory is the nephew of the Tamati whanau from Waitara which includes former Kiwi captain and coach Howie. Today we are going to the Warriors captains run and tomorrow we are off to the Dragons game. Sunday we will be making a presentation to the Dapto Rugby League club to commemorate Tory. The weather has been fantastic and the butcher is living the dream. Have a great weekend and share the love out there people!
