Well fantastic night last Friday which kicked off with the first ever Vodafone Warriors woman’s game and it was a high scoring game of rugby league winning 32-4 over an Auckland team . Then it was followed by the Vodafone Warriors beating the Newcastle Knights 20/4 with Issac Luke Celebrating his 250th NRL game. This weekend the NRL team is away in Sydney, where they take on the Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium on Sunday (Sky coverage starts at 3/30pm). As we know the Bulldogs have had some good wins, to date they have beaten the Broncos, West Tigers but did lose over the weekend going down to Manly 18/6, so fingers crossed. Our captain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck will play his 50th game for the Warriors. Our ISP team play the Newton Jets on Saturday in Sydney at Henson park(3pm Sydney time)details how you can listen to this game is in the newsletter. Our Jersey Flagg team also play in Sydney on Saturday at North Sydney Oval playing the North Sydney Bears (7pm Sydney time). While it may seem all the action is on in Sydney, there is plenty of local rugby league happening around NZ. It was very sad to see former Vodafone Warriors player Ryan Hoffman Limp of the field with a hamstring injury and may not get to play for the rest of the season which is very sad as he announced his retirement at the end of the season and knowing him he would’ve wanted to play the whole season. I’m sure we all wish him a speedy recovery. This Saturday night I will be supporting my good mate Monty Betham at a fundraiser for his charity Stepsforlife. Monty and his team have organised a massive night at the Hilton Hotel called dinning with the stars, MC for the night is Stephen McIvor his VIP guests include Sir John Kirwan (a former butcher), Joseph Parker and Hayley Holt just to name a few.
