Well last Friday night the Vodafone Warriors hit their straps and had a fantastic win over the Panther.
Let's hope we can finish the regular season on a high with another win this Friday night when the Raiders visit Mt Smart.
It won’t be a walk in the park because in the last two weeks the Raiders have beaten the Roosters and South Sydney.
Whatever the result it will be one hell of a special night as Simon Mannering plays his 300th game in the NRL and for the Vodafone Warriors.
He will be the first player in our history to reach that milestone so I’m expecting a full house.
I know that the Stacey Jones Lounge is completely sold out and has been for more than a week.
I've actually known Simon since before he even came to the club, a mate in Nelson having discovered him playing rugby.
Simon's is a great story and later in the year he has a book coming out and I’ll be doing my best to make it a best-seller.
I hope the fans stay after the game because the club has got a couple of presentations for Simon and it would be lovely if everyone stayed behind for that as a mark of respect for a wonderful player and man.
Go the Vodafone Warriors, and go the Intrust Super Premiership team, in Sydney in the a sudden-death game for a chance to secure a place in the final series with a match against North Sydney Bears.
