Sir Peter Leitch's Club Newsletter

Newsletter #233

Not a great week for me last week. I'm sure you have heard by now that on Tuesday I ended up in hospital, where I stayed until 5pm on the Friday. Even then I was only let out on the strict understanding I was not going to immediately head to Mt Smart to watch my beloved Vodafone Warriors. They didn't say anything about watching it on TV so I did still get to see the boys end the regular season with what I thought was a good win against a rugged Canberra side. I hosted a load of former Kiwis for a bit of get together on Tuesday and that lifted my spirits quite a bit. It's always a pleasure being around the boys who have donned that famous black and white jersey. I can’t go to Sydney this weekend either because I'm told I should not be flying for a few days yet. I am going to have to have a spot of work done on an artery to the old ticker eventually, but you can bet your life I’ll be glued to the TV and cheering the boys on come Saturday when they take on the Panthers. I will be putting the All Blacks on My Sky to watch it later in the night. On Sunday night I did get to the Vodafone Warriors prize-giving but there will be more about that in our second newsletter coming out tomorrow. The big challenge for us is to get all our Kiwi mates who live in Australia and who can make the game on Saturday to ANZ Stadium to turn it into a Vodafone warriors home game, so spread the word. GO THE VODAFONE WARRIORS AND all the best to the ALL BACKS AS WELL Sir Peter Charles Leitch KNZM QSM
