Well I’m not talking Vodafone warriors, I'm not talking All Blacks because we all know it wasn't a good weekend but I have to admit I had a very good weekend in Sydney on Saturday. I went to watch the Vodafone Warriors Intrust Super Cup team play at Belmore sports ground with Doctor George Peponis, OAM. He is currently chairman of the Bulldogs Leagues club, played for the Bulldogs and represented Australia. He is currently leading the charge for the 2017 rugby league World Cup as chairman and he treated me to lunch at the Bulldogs club and then sat with me during the game. It was very enjoyable experience. Then on the Friday our Aussie corresponded Barry Ross and his lovely wife Sue took me and Janice for a fantastic day taking us to me Mick Cronin’s (played over 200 games for parramatta and 33 games for Australia) pub for lunch at Gerringong and later had dinner with roosters Craig Wing (played 71 games for Souths 185 games for the roosters and 17 for Australia). I caught up with fantastic rugby league people over the few days we were in Sydney but it’s time to head home because you can't best New Zealand. Sir Peter Leitch KNZM, QSM Chief NZ Ambassador Rugby League World Cup 2017
