I had a great time last weekend, starting on the Friday night when I went to hear Wayne Bennett speak.
He was, as he always is, incredibly funny but at the same time open and honest.
There's a load more about that in the newsletter.
And then of course what a fantastic start to the mighty Vodafone Warriors season in 2018, winning five from six.
Notice how I don't say I was gutted about losing on Saturday, because I still think we have over-achieved and had a marvellous start.
Sure, time to be honest, I was a little disappointed, but I am every time we don't take the points.
But it was the Brisbane Broncos and don't be fooled because they have been a bit slower than usual out of the blocks, they will be there come finals time.
They have too much quality in the playing roster, and that man Bennett at the helm too.
Instead let's take the positives, in that we already have five wins, and that's a lot more than anyone thought we'd have, and we also went down fighting.
This Friday night will be a real test for the team as we take on the St George Dragons, the only team with the perfect record so far.
They are firing on all cylinders that is for sure, and in all honesty I will be more upset to lose to them than the Broncos, because that Miles Davis is a big St George fan and if his lot win I will never hear the end of it. Might have to give him the sack of he gets too lippy.
Go the Vodafone Warriors, see you on Friday.
