Newsletter #227

We may not have won the game on Sunday but we had a fantastic day in the Stacey Jones Lounge, with amazing guests including former Kiwis captain Richie Barnett, Canterbury and 23 Black Caps test cricketer Peter Fulton, New Zealand volleyballer Katie Adamson, Canterbury Tactix netballer Zoe Walker and former Kiwi Paul Whatuira - check out the interview on my Facebook page - assistant coach Andrew McFadden and injured player Peta Hiku, plus all our wonderful members. The lounge was rocking with great music from DJ Pete and after the game I had the pleasure of going to a team function with the players, coaching staff and their partners. It was a great get-together. The general consensus in the lounge was that the team played well, but no one was very happy with the ref. Provided I shake this flu, I’m heading to the Gold Coast this weekend for the Titans game, where I'll try to catch up with Konrad Hurrell. Then I fly from the Gold Coast to Sydney for the NRL Hall of Fame Dinner to see Kiwis legend Mark Graham inducted. Then on Thursday there's a drive to Wollongong for the Dragons’ game with Kiwis great Howie Tamati and a few mates from Taranaki, so a busy time for the old Butcher. I caught up with new NZRL CEO Greg Peters this week and after spending time with him I felt very excited and think the game is in good hands. Don’t forget that If you want to win one of ten Vodafone Warriors Jerseys signed be several players then scroll down in the newsletter. Have a great week, and as ever, remember to share the love out there people. Sir Peter Charles Leitch KNZM QSM
